| Position Summary |
A Research Technician will assist with projects and tasks in the laboratory, greenhouse, and office to support a plant genomics research laboratory. This new position will be responsible for laboratory and greenhouse work with a diverse set of plant species. The employee will be responsible for preparing culture media, reagents, buffers, and other solutions. Employee will be responsible for performing tissue culture and maintaining collections of clonally propagated plants. |

- Proficiency in laboratory, greenhouse, and aseptic technique
- Strong organizational skills, basic computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.), and the ability to effectively communicate and multitask
- Meticulous, punctual, and reliable
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of basic plant life cycle and genetics
- Competency of basic laboratory techniques
- Knowledge of lab protocols and equipment

- Collect material for experiments; perform crosses; mix soil; fill pots; and clean the greenhouses/growth chambers.
