Security Officer - Gate Access Control Telecommunications

As a Security Officer - Gate Access Control Telecommunications in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and telecommunications location where you will help manage access control, monitor entry points, verify badges and visitors, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and other security-related policies at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, screen visitors and deliveries, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive observation and documented credential checks.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and/or contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, access records, and incident documentation, and communicate clearly with site contacts regarding security-related concerns and/or unusual activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the lobby, access points, and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity while observing conditions that may require follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
