As a Security Officer Access Assurance in Alexandria, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support a professional, welcoming location experience. You will remain visible, help to deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors and staff with strong communication and customer service. Pay Rate: $23.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials, and document visitor and contractor activity in accordance with location procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
