The Regional Director of Clinical Partnerships and Telehealth Training provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and training development for clinical practicum experiences and telehealth service delivery within doctoral psychology programs. This position ensures high-quality clinical education, compliance with accreditation and licensure standards, and effective partnerships with external practicum sites. Under direction of the Senior Associate Dean, this position oversees the development and administration of telehealth clinic training for psychology doctoral students, emphasizing ethical practice, cultural responsiveness, evidence-based care, and competency-based supervision. Additionally, under direction of the Offices of Professional Training, the Director is responsible for collaborating in the development, expansion, and management of clinical training partnerships and practicum opportunities for psychology doctoral students. The Director works with faculty, clinical training staff, healthcare organizations, community agencies, and external supervisors to ensure students have access to diverse, high-quality training experiences that prepare them for internship, licensure, and professional practice. The Director collaborates closely with faculty, clinical supervisors, students, and community partners to support students' professional development and readiness for internship and licensure. The Director will exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical principles and will be committed to the tenets of the University's Mission and Vision. Salary Range: $92,000 - $100,000 annualized exempt position. Minimum Qualifications: Required Qualifications * Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or related field from an APA-accredited program. * Licensed psychologist or license-eligible in California. * Minimum 3-5 years of experience providing clinical training, practicum coordination, higher education administration, or behavioral health program development. * Demonstrated experience developing partnerships with healthcare or community organizations. * Demonstrated expertise in telehealth or telepsychology service delivery and training. * Knowledge of APA accreditation standards, ethics, and clinical training requirements. * Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-management skills. Preferred Qualifications * Experience in doctoral psychology education or academic leadership. * Experience managing training clinics or behavioral health programs. * Familiarity with electronic health records and telehealth platforms. * Experience with healthcare systems, integrate care, or community mental health partnerships. * Record of program development, quality improvement, or community partnership building. Skills: * Proficient computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, Google Drive and Calendar. * Individual must possess superior interpersonal oral and written communication skills. * Sensitivity to cultural diversity and ability to communicate and interact effectively with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds * Proven ability to work effectively as a team player; highly motivated, focused and results oriented. * Ability to exercise discretion and tact in all interpersonal contacts and maintain confidentiality at all times. * Ability to maintain composure under high stress conditions and effectively manage crisis situations. * Must possess the skills to prioritize a wide variety of assignments and perform numerous tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Demonstrated experience working independently, exercising professional judgment, and taking initiative. * Ability to manage large interacting systems as well as trainees with differing levels of education and expertise. Clinical Placement Development * Develop and expand practicum and clinical training partnerships for psychology doctoral students. * Identify and cultivate relationships with hospitals, behavioral health clinics, schools, university counseling centers, integrated care settings, community agencies, correctional facilities, and private practices. * Negotiate and maintain affiliation agreements, memoranda of understanding, and training contracts with external sites. * Create strategies to increase the number, diversity, and quality of clinical placement opportunities. * Ensure placements align with program competencies, accreditation standards, and student training goals. * Develop systems and processes to improve partnership management. Telehealth Clinic Training Oversight * Lead the development and administration of telehealth clinical training experiences for doctoral students. * Ensure telehealth services comply with ethical, legal, HIPAA, and jurisdictional regulations. * Develop policies, workflows, and best practices for telepsychology service delivery. * Coordinate training in telehealth competencies, including risk assessment, documentation, informed consent, cultural responsiveness, and technology use. * Supervise or coordinate supervision of student clinicians providing telehealth services. * Evaluate telehealth training outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives. Compliance and Accreditation * Ensure adherence to applicable standards from the American Psychological Association, state licensing boards, HIPAA regulations, and institutional policies. * Monitor evolving regulations and best practices related to telehealth and clinical education. Collaboration and Administration * Collaborate with program leadership, faculty, clinic staff, and external supervisors to strengthen training opportunities. * Participate in curriculum planning related to clinical training and professional competencies. * Manage scheduling, operational logistics, and data systems associated with placements and telehealth services. * Contribute to strategic planning and program growth initiatives. Perform other related tasks, duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or directed. Supervisory Responsibility: Direct Reports: Student Assistants, Administrative Assistant, Liaison. Indirect Reports: None. Contact Responsibility: Internal: Interact with supervisor to receive direction, and instructions and/or review of work results. This position works closely with colleagues in multiple departments (i.e., clinical training coordinators, branch directors, etc.) to support both students and colleagues in achieving student success and department goals. External: Contracted agencies, as applicable.
