Langley Federal Credit Union is currently hiring for a Full Time Property Casualty Agent to work on-site from our Oyster Point office located in Newport News, VA.

Job Summary:

The Property and Casualty Agent generates and manages new business sales process and renewal retention efforts to meet organization sales and retention goals.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:



  • Quotes, binds, and issues insurance policies to meet production requirements.
  • Cross sells additional insurance products and services to address client needs.
  • Initiates client reviews prior to renewal and provides alternatives to achieve and maintain agency retention goals.
  • Utilized agency management system to document sales and communication to clients and prospective clients.


Qualifications:



  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or 2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of working experience/training.
  • Professional license in VA property and casualty insurance.
