Registered Respiratory Therapist II - Advance Your Career with Johns Hopkins Medicine. Join our team asaRegistered Respiratory Therapist II (RRT II)and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. Under general supervision, you will assess and recommend treatments for patients with cardiopulmonary conditions, using your expertise to administer advanced respiratory therapies. From medical gas therapy, bronchial hygiene, and mechanical ventilation to emergency resuscitation and airway management, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care. Work Experience: A minimum oftwo years of critical care experienceis required. Documented proof/demonstration of all activities required of an RRT II. Required Licensure & Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)- Required Maryland State License to Practice Respiratory Care- Required BLS- Required ACLS- Preferred NBRC Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS)- Preferred Skills, Machines, Tools, and Equipment: Competence in operating and maintainingdepartmental ventilators, high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV), aerosolized medication systems, oxygen and compressed gas systems, nitric oxide administration systems, bronchopulmonary hygiene equipment,and devices used in the care of artificial and natural airways.
