Department Overview:

GC Civil is responsible for site preparation and civil construction activities including excavation, grading, and backfill-that are essential for the safe and efficient delivery of electric infrastructure projects. In addition to keeping projects on schedule and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental requirements, GC Civil plays a key role in supporting GC line crews, enabling them to execute their work safely and effectively.

GC Logistics provides critical support across a wide range of operational needs, from emergency response to routine material and crew coordination. While the team plays a key role in emergencies, their broader mission is to ensure that field operations have the resources and logistical support necessary to maintain reliability and meet project goals.

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $105k.
Bay Area Maximum: $169k.
&/OR
California Minimum: $100k.
California Maximum: $161k.

Position Summary:

Manages aspects of program implementation and operations. Ensures program is operating effectively. Responsibilities typically include some or most of the following in support of Program Management to ensure attainment of program metrics/objectives.

*Managing relationship with and providing direction to vendor(s).

*Developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts.

*Developing, measuring, and reporting on success of the program.

*Partnering with the Marketing organization, vendors and external partners to develop and implement strategies to reach appropriate customer audience at the appropriate time.

*Identifying and maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners.

*Partnering with Regulatory and Compliance staff to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and support regulatory activities by supplying information for filings, data requests, and meeting with regulators.

*Identifying stakeholders and communicate within and outside of PG&E.

*Developing and/or implementing policies and procedures.

*Identifying new partners, technologies, and delivery channels.

*Travel may be required.

Job Responsibilities:

*Completes moderate to complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions plan and goals.

*Works independently on most issues.

*Provides direction on overall program plan and goals.

*Responsible for most/all deliverables within the program implementation plan.

*Communicates findings and recommendations to various levels of management.

*Develops budget forecasts, conducts analysis in support of identifying budget variances and develops solutions to address.

*Develops new and ad-hoc reports, summarizes findings and recommendations and provides business insight.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

* Bachelor degree or equivalent experience

* 6 years of related experience or equivalent

Desired:

  • Strong track record in developing and managing program oversight frameworks, including performance metrics, risk tracking, and escalation protocols to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Experience supporting the facilitation of strategic planning sessions, business case development, and resource allocation for civil construction and logistics operations
  • Ability to support driving cross-functional alignment, remove execution barriers, and ensure continuous improvement initiatives deliver measurable results across field operations and support teams
  • Experience supporting or leading organizational change initiatives, including org chart development, calibration/scorecard metric reviews, and operational expectations setting for GC Civil and Logistics
  • Advanced knowledge of Program Management
  • Ability to communicate findings and recommendations to various levels of management.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with demanding time constraints.
  • Knowledge and understanding of business drivers.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage or direct team
  • Ability to assess and recommend solutions for assigned projects
  • Knowledge of energy industry applications to local level customers, including energy issues, customer energy efficiency applications, and general customer information
