ABOUT HUMAN SERVICES BEHAVIORAL HEALTH OF JEFFERSON COUNTY
Jefferson County Human Services, Outpatient Mental Health and AODA Clinic, seeks a caring and compassionate Psychotherapist to provide mental health and substance use intervention services to the County's Child Welfare Families.

40 hours per week, with flexibility to provide evening individual and group psychotherapy sessions as needed.

SOME ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PSYCHOTHERAPIST
The clinic needs another Psychotherapist to join the team that will provide Mental Health and Substance Use Intervention services. To be successful in this position, you will be focusing on the below responsibilities:
  • Performs comprehensive assessments, provide individual and group psychotherapy utilizing evidenced based treatment with children and adults involved with child welfare to include both mental health and substance use treatment.
  • Performs crisis risk assessments/suicide risk assessments and evaluate client's safety.
  • Interview and develop crisis and safety plans.
  • Provides ongoing assessments, responds to crisis situations appropriately, and implements crisis plan using effective strategies and practices.
  • Provides case management.
  • Participates in Child Welfare team meetings and communicate with Child Welfare team members regularly.
  • Provides consultation to Child Welfare stakeholders
  • Performs variety of other necessary tasks.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in social work or related field.
  • One to two years of experience and professional licensure.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Complete all necessary FCT training and requirements to be a certified Family Centered Treatment Clinician through the Family Centered Treatment Foundation.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Eligibility licensure includes:
1. Professional Counselor
2. Licensed Clinical Social Worker
3. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
