Job Description

Purpose: The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure products, processes, and suppliers meet all internal, customer, and regulatory requirements. This role owns ISO compliance, audit readiness, supplier quality performance, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Core Responsibilities:

Quality Management System (QMS):

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS in compliance with ISO 9001 and applicable standards.
  • Establish and monitor quality objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Supplier performance (PPM, OTD, scorecards)
    • Reduction in nonconforming material
    • Product reliability and customer quality metrics
  • Maintain control documents, records, and quality procedures.
  • Ensure effective control and disposition of nonconforming products.
  • Lead Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) processes.
    • Measured on effectiveness and closure rate.

ISO Compliance & Audit Leadership:

  • Serve as the primary owner of ISO certification and compliance programs.
    • Measured on ISO and audit performance (internal/external results).
  • Plan and execute internal audit programs.
  • Lead external audits (ISO, customer, regulatory bodies).
  • Act as the main point of contact for auditors.
  • Ensure timely closure of audit findings and nonconformances.
  • Maintain audit schedules, documentation, and compliance records.
  • Drive audit readiness across all functions.

Supplier Development & Performance Management:

  • Develop and execute supplier quality and development strategies.
  • Establish and manage supplier scorecards tracking.
  • Lead supplier audits and capability assessments.
  • Drive supplier corrective actions and performance improvements.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with key suppliers.
  • Segment suppliers and implement targeted development plans.
  • Manage supplier risk (quality, capacity, single source).

Cross- Functional Quality Leadership:

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Service teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Support new product development with quality planning and risk analysis.
  • Drive root cause analysis using structured methodologies.
  • Promote Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.

Compliance & Certification:

  • Manage product certification requirements and documentation.
    • Measured on adherence and certification status.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Maintain readiness for customers and regulatory inspection.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience with quality responsibility.
  • Experience managing ISO 9001 or equivalent QMS.
  • Experience leading internal and external audits.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in supplier quality and development.

Desired Characteristics:

  • ASQ Certification (CQE, CQM, or equivalent)
  • Certified Internal and Lead Auditor ISO9001
  • Experience with supplier audits and global supply chains
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience with ERP and quality reporting systems.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $118,490 to $139,400 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
