We are seeking motivated technicians to join our high-performing team! As a Technician, you will support the safe and efficient operation of our LNG facility by operating and maintaining compressors, prime movers, and liquefaction and vaporization systems. You will monitor process variables, respond to alarms, troubleshoot issues using P&IDs/PFDs, and perform equipment start-ups, shutdowns, and repairs while following strict safety procedures, including LOTO.

THIS ROLE IS LOCATED IN ROUGEMONT, NORTH CAROLINA

What You Will Do:

As an LNG Technician, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operates all Station prime movers and compressors, including start, stop, load adjustment, alarm monitoring and initial response as required.

  • Operate and maintain all equipment associated with liquefying and vaporizing natural gas

  • Applying PIDs and PFDs for troubleshooting process issues and implementing gas handling procedures and LOTOs (Lock Out, Tag Out)

  • Controlling and continuously monitoring compression and process variables at the LNG facility.

  • Maintain the plant and associated equipment for the purposes of liquefying and vaporizing liquid natural gas.

  • In a safe and efficient manner, operate and maintain the liquefication and vaporization process, turbine compressors, all in-plant machinery and equipment including start-ups and shut-downs, service and repair engines, compressors, pumps, and motors.

  • Maintain buildings, grounds, and all in-plant piping and conduits.

  • Assists others in routine troubleshooting and repair of station equipment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

You are a committed expert with a demonstrated history in plant operations and maintenance. You have:

  • High School/GED with preference for education and/or certification in related mechanical or electrical fields.

  • Relevant education and certifications may be considered toward experience requirement.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial setting, particularly focusing on plant operations and maintenance.

  • Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills, coupled with excellent oral and written communication abilities.

  • The capability to implement gas handling procedures and troubleshoot using PIDs and PFDs.

  • Possession of a legitimate driver's license and the capacity to use company vehicles and equipment.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a safety-sensitive position subject to random drug testing.

  • Working environment: outdoor processing area, indoor processing area, maintenance shop, and office/control room including climbing, working at heights and various weather conditions.

  • Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises.

  • May be required to work overtime and 10-12 hour shifts with occasional overnight stays.

  • Travel up to 25% may be required.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 100 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to work in tight spaces

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
