Filler Relief Operator (Serac)

GENERAL JOB DUTIES:



  1. Operate the fillers in a safe and efficient manner which includes problem solving and bottle jam recovery in the treatment area while wearing a wearing a respirator and chemical suit as needed.
  2. Must maintain a clean workstation during CIP/SIP and production.
  3. Change over filler to run appropriate size bottle for planned production.
  4. Maintain Oxonia concentration within specifications.
  5. Fill pure Oxonia tanks.
  6. Sanitation of Oxonia batch and circulating tanks. These may need to be emptied and cleaned once a week.
  7. Change and/or clean all Oxonia filters and screens.
  8. Maintain proper operation of filler valves and weights. Clean as necessary.
  9. Maintain proper flow through Oxonia showers. Clean as necessary.
  10. Change HEPA air filters according to maintenance schedule.
  11. Maintain ACS and cap rail free of dust and debris.
  12. Change gaskets, valve maintenance and change sterile air filters according to maintenance schedule on CIP/SIP.
  13. Change gaskets and sterile air filters on hydraulic unit according to maintenance schedule.
  14. 14. Clean all conveyors inside the filler and outside including diverter table during CIP.
  15. Keep caustic and acid CIP tanks full.
  16. Complete production paperwork correctly.
  17. Complete assigned sanitation responsibilities and document as required by the Master Sanitation Program to maintain area sanitation requirements.
  18. Be a company certified user of material handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks and barrel trucks.
  19. Perform any other duties as designated by supervisor and/or manager.



Hours and days off will change according to the need of production. You must be able to work any day of the week and any of the three shifts. Relief assignments to be determined based upon scheduling needs. Management will schedule the relief employee during weeks that may be "open."

Education and Experience



  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Manufacturing work experience 1 year
  • Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Able to follow directions and carry out instructions
  • Able to effectively work in a team environment
  • Able to legibly write entries for record keeping
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English


Physical Demands:



  • Must be able to stand and walk for 8-12 hour shifts
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Typical Manufacturing environment
