Overview

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Under the direction of the Principle Investigator or designee, the Research Data Specialist II collaborates in the implementation of the data management procedures and organizational activities. This position coordinates the information retrieved from databases and performs in-depth analyses in order to track programs and projects within the group.



Responsibilities

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Respond to the various information needs of the department
  • Prepare a variety of written deliverables tailored to the audience.
  • Monitor information sources for key interests, synthesize key points.
  • Present research findings to various constituencies.
  • Compile research/competitive intelligence, and conduct in-depth analysis.
  • Create databases to sort, evaluate, and present information.
  • Work independently, balance ongoing activities with time-sensitive projects.
  • Respond to urgent information request, determine appropriate deliverable, and uphold confidentiality.
  • Serve as a project team member for Medical School initiatives.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement Programs.
  • Cooperate in the planning, reviewing, and organization of group activities
  • Perform other duties as required.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, quantitative science, a related degree, or equivalent experience
  • 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Strong research, writing, and analysis skills
  • Demonstrated experience in computer-based skills, including database creation, search engines and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to conduct research, summarize and present key information
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.


Additional Information

Our lab uses multimodal MRI and neuromodulation approaches to understand sensory and trait-based risk factors for the development of mood and anxiety disorders.

Applicants with experience processing and analyzing neuroimaging data are preferred.
