Job Summary Uses perioperative knowledge and skills to ensure the assigned Service Line has all of the supplies and equipment needed to complete the scheduled surgeries. Maintains physician requests and relationships in that Service Line. Additional Requirements Required Education - Associates Degree in Surgical Technology Certification - Within 12-months of hireSurgical Technician Certificate from an accredited program Experience - 2+ years of Surgical Technologist Experience Preferred Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Association of Surgical Technologies (AST); or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Nation Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA); or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) Scheduling Requirements: Requires the ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department.Physical Requirements: Heavy work - exerting up to 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or up to 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or up to 100 pounds of force occasionally (up to 33% of the time), and or up to 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances.
