Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The Initiatives Analyst will work to provide support for Private Client Group (PCG) users, initiatives, and projects. There will be a large focus on supporting current and new business processes along with maintaining and improving existing intranet resources and guides. The Initiatives Analyst will work effectively and collaboratively with multiple departments and stakeholders in order to achieve quality and timely delivery of solutions. The Initiatives Analyst will also have the knowledge to represent the needs of PCG as they interface with other stakeholders and project teams. The Initiative Analyst will also work to provide support as it relates to reporting, meeting facilitation, issue identification, process audits, and more. Additionally, the Initiative Analyst will be responsible for translating complex issues and data into formats that aid in fostering understanding and decision making.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for managing, updating, and maintaining, various intranet sites used for team collaboration and field resources.

  • Act as the primary business owner for various entitlements and system controls.

  • Responsible for aspects of design, development, and implementation for solutions intended to support specific PCG initiatives.

  • Become a vital resource in supporting the field by answering questions and escalating issues.

  • Work with key partners to develop, create, and maintain reports used for status updates and decision making.

  • Work to gather business requirements in support of ongoing projects.

  • Work to identify and document impacts to exiting projects, policies, and procedures.

  • Utilize project management skills to execute on small PCG initiatives. This will include planning, organizing, and managing of tasks and resources to accomplish a defined objective with a defined scope.

  • Develop proposals and work plans as required to support PCG activities. Prepare detailed plan and/or specifications for implementation of change requires and/or initial process requirements.

  • Perform user level validation and acceptance testing for various technology projects.

  • Works under minimal direction and will possess an extensive level of knowledge of Operations' systems functionality.

  • Work to prepare materials used to evaluate business value, risk, and conflicts of interest.

  • Work with key partners to identify the source issues impacting the front office and work to resolve them.

  • Develop materials using various programs to assist in problem solving, decision making, and issue understanding by leadership.

  • Identify processes and systems that are leading to pain points for end users and develop strategies to alleviate them.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of related experience

  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills with that ability to prioritize and execute on rapidly changing deliverables with minimal supervision

  • Well-organized and detail oriented with the ability to set goals and successfully achieve them on schedule as well as strong communication and technical skills

  • Exhibits resourcefulness, an analytical approach to problem solving, strategic thinking, and proactively offers solutions

  • Proficiency with use of Microsoft Word, Excel, one note, SharePoint

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in financial services, information systems, customer service, finance or accounting.

  • Four-year college degree.

The expected salary range for this particular position is $55,000-$95,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.

You have the potential to earn more through RBC's discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
