DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will provide essential clerical and case review support that helps ensure accurate and fair processing of driver privilege restoration requests. The work you will do supports safe travel throughout the Commonwealth by applying the requirements of the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:
- Case Review: Review and evaluate cases involving restoration of driving privileges and apply criteria to make independent decisions
- Legal Interpretation: Interpret the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code to ensure compliance when processing driver cases
- Record Updates: Enter data and update driver and non driver records using forms, statements, and mailed documents
- Work Coordination: Assist with training, distribute assignments, and help maintain accurate logs of incoming work
- Quality Assurance: Check the accuracy of processed work, provide feedback, and support training to meet quality standards
- Customer Support: Respond to inquiries from the public and internal staff through research and review of records

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration; or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
