Location: Denton TX Job Summary
The Rod Mill Process Engineer III is responsible for the development, standardization and improvement of processes, systems and equipment within the facility. The Process Engineer's focus is on the stability, reliability and efficiency of the facility's manufacturing process. This will be accomplished through development of standard processes and procedures, monitoring of real time manufacturing parameters, on-time and full completion of continuous improvement projects and achieving goals in areas that include culture of zero, material usage, scrap, OEE, and cost out. The Process Engineer III will deploy, teach, and implement various improvements to achieve goals and objectives while working with cross functional teams within the manufacturing site as well as across the vertical and organization. Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate manufacturing and metalurgical related processes and drive strategies to close performance gaps in safety, quality, delivery/throughput and cost in the Denton Rod Mill. Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably metallurgical engineering, or related field. Nine years of experience in Process Engineering total and a minumum of three years in a metal processing,heavy industrial environment. Experience in continuous improvement and/or project management. Preferred Education & Experience
Twelve plus years in field of mettalurgy Six Sigma Black Belt Experience in copper processing, copper ingots / billets Working Conditions
Work environment consists of a combination of copper mill, plant floor and office. Exposure to high temperatures, loud noise and fumes. Competencies
