Position Summary: Installs, maintains, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs various computer, network, and electronic physical security systems, low voltage systems, cabling, and associated equipment for optimum performance. The environment varies from in-doors to outdoors exposed to varying low or high temperatures. While in the field, the employee is required to wear the approved uniform; see management for specific uniform choices. Employee may be required to perform work while wearing personal protective equipment to include approved hard hat, steel-toed boots, ear and eye protective equipment and approved safety vest. The employee will be expected to be a motivated self-starter with an ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a demanding work environment and work under the direction of senior personnel in the functional area. An employee will be expected to keep up with constant shifting of daily priorities in a dynamic environment, exhibiting adaptability with a positive attitude. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; speak and hear, use close vision. Must be able to distinguish colors or possess other means to correctly terminate cabling. The employee must be able to work up to 20' on ladders and up to 90' high using a large boom lift. The employee must be able to work in outdoor environments exposed to varying low or high temperatures. The employee must regularly be able to lift 60 pounds.
