IT Intern - End User Services / Asset & Device Operations Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized and dependable IT Intern to support day-to-day operations within our End User Services and Asset Management team. This is an entry-level, hands-on role focused on device logistics, lifecycle management, and basic systems administration tasks. This role will work closely with Tier 2 IT support staff and provides the opportunity to gain exposure to real-world IT troubleshooting and enterprise systems in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Device Shipping & Receiving - Receive incoming IT equipment and verify shipments against packing slips - Apply asset tags and maintain accurate inventory records in ServiceNow - Prepare and ship equipment to employees using standard shipping processes - Track devices through the full lifecycle from receiving to deployment Device Lifecycle & Refurbishment - Wipe and prepare returned devices for redeployment (Windows and mobile) - Inspect, clean, and stage devices for reuse - Fulfill requests for the internal employee refurb program via ServiceNow tickets - Package and ship refurbished devices to employees System Cleanup & Basic Administration - Remove devices from systems such as Microsoft Intune, ScreenConnect, and other endpoint tools - Maintain accurate device records across systems - Support standard device retirement and redeployment workflows Ticket & Process Support - Manage and update ServiceNow tickets related to device requests and returns - Ensure all work is documented clearly and accurately - Coordinate with internal teams on device shipments and recovery Learning & Development - Shadow Tier 2 IT technicians to learn real-world troubleshooting workflows - Gain exposure to device provisioning, endpoint troubleshooting basics, and enterprise IT systems - Assist Tier 2 staff with basic troubleshooting tasks as skills develop Required Skills & Qualifications - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to follow structured processes consistently - Reliable and able to manage repetitive tasks - Willingness to learn and strong work ethic - Comfortable handling physical equipment Preferred (Not Required) - Interest in IT or pursuing a related field - Basic familiarity with Windows devices or ticketing systems - Any hands-on technical experience (school, home lab, etc.) What You'll Gain - Hands-on experience with enterprise IT operations - Exposure to real troubleshooting alongside Tier 2 staff - Understanding of device lifecycle management at scale- Experience with tools like Intune, ServiceNow, and remote support platforms *Top Skills Details* Customer service,Windows 11,Support *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brownsburg, IN. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
