Summary: Provides advanced technical expertise on systems and server administration and maintains multiple operating systems and platforms supporting the health system. Builds, deploys, and documents components of the technology infrastructure specializing in multiple operating systems and platforms supporting the health system. Responsibilities:
- Makes recommendations to management and IT project teams related to any new identified system enhancements. Communicates pro-actively and regularly with management regarding project updates.
- Monitors system progress during testing and initial production rollout. Gathers, collects, and analyzes data using a variety of tools, develops system interfaces, assesses existing system integration functionality and troubleshooting. Recommends technical improvements if needed. Works effectively with co-workers and vendors to isolate and resolve system problems. Monitors server backups daily for trends, missed files/directories, or any discrepancies.
- Performs end to end testing of system tools and performance to track high level issues and recommends changes to requirements and procedures. Provides advanced level support in identifying improvements to all of enterprise-wide systems performance and installations.
- Works directly with the Systems Engineers to develop and modify complex monitoring and utilizing labor-savings to optimize system health-checking, security monitoring, disaster recovery response, and Data
- Manages the end-to-end application packaging lifecycle, including intake assessment, repackaging or authoring of MSI/MSIX deliverables, quality validation, and enterprise deployment. Ensures packages meet organizational standards for reliability, security, and silent installation behavior.
- Authors and maintains PowerShell deployment scripts and tools, detection methods, and pre/post-install routines in support of application deployments through Microsoft Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) and Intune. Develops and documents packaging specifications, test results, and known issue logs for each deliverable.
- Collaborates with application owners, vendors, and project teams to assess software requirements, resolve packaging conflicts, and deliver tested, deployment-ready packages on schedule. Applies application control policies (AppLocker/WDAC) and compatibility remediation techniques to ensure successful deployment across the enterprise endpoint environment.

Education Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience). Licensure/Certification Requirements: * No licensure or certification required. Professional Experience Requirements: * If a Bachelor's degree: Four (4) years of relevant experience. * If an Associate's degree: Six (6) years of relevant experience. * If a High School diploma or GED: Eight (8) years of relevant experience. Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
- Excellent analytical and communication skills. Ability to work well in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Highly responsive to internal customers.
- Deep expertise in Windows application packaging, including MSI authoring, repackaging, transforms (.mst), and the Windows Installer architecture - components, features, conditions, custom actions, and installation sequences.
- Proficiency with one or more enterprise packaging IDEs: AdminStudio, Advanced Installer, Wise Package Studio, or RayPack; used for MSI authoring, repackaging, and quality validation.
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills with demonstrated experience developing and maintaining scripts for application deployment, detection logic, pre/post-install automation, and environment configuration, including proper error handling, logging, and exit code management.
- Significant hands-on experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM), including CM application object development, deployment types, supercedence, dependency chains, phased deployments, and CM package object development skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune for Win32 app deployment, including packaging, detection rules, and assignment targeting in hybrid/co-managed environments.
- Familiarity with Group Policy Objects (GPO) as they relate to software management, application control, and desktop configuration.
- Experience identifying and resolving application compatibility issues including privilege conflicts, registry and file system redirection, and Windows version compatibility and the ability to recognize applications with PHI PII or pose risk to the environment.
- Knowledge of application control technologies (AppLocker, WDAC) is a plus.
- MSIX packaging experience a plus, including use of MSIX Packaging Tools.
