TEKsystems has a client that is looking for a candidate with a focus on basic cloud engineering Cloud deployment. This role will wear multiple hats assisting Cloud Architects and team to comprehend objectives, generate solutions, POC the solution, generate recommendations then implement the decisions.
The Entry-Level Cloud Engineer will support the cloud architecture and engineering teams in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based solutions across public, private, and hybrid environments. This role is ideal for earlycareer technologists who have foundational cloud knowledge and are eager to grow into a full cloud engineering or cloud architecture role. The engineer will assist architects in understanding business objectives, developing solution concepts, performing proofofconcepts, and implementing cloud technologies that improve delivery, automation, and operational efficiency Knowledge of concepts of designing and developing dynamic Cloud solutions in Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services and moving parts involved in continuous integration and delivery.1-3 years Experience with Tooling and Automation to enable seamless automation of infrastructure provisioning and configuration. Highly Desirable Pipeline Design and Architecture to improve development flow and delivery. Highly Desirable Solid understanding and skill with DevOps, web services and application programming interfaces (APIs). 1-3 years Create, maintain, and troubleshooting skills for cloud infrastructure Highly Desirable Core Tasks *Assist cloud architects with the design and deployment of cloud solutions across the environments. *Support the build out of multi cloud environments, including public, private, and hybrid cloud models. *Help maintain and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure components. *Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines. *Assist with infrastructure provisioning and configuration using automation tools. *Participate in integrating cloud pipelines with existing DevOps systems. *Document architecture decisions, pipeline configurations, and deployment procedures. *Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and training activities. *Maintain clear and organized technical documentation for onboarding and future reference. *Support adherence to cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks (NIST, CIS, PCI, etc.). *Assist in implementing secure configurations and monitoring controls. *Work with cross functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into cloud requirements. *Participate in discussions with vendors, product specialists, and internal teams to evaluate technologies. *Support enterprise architecture reviews and solution assessments. * Assist with performance analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization of cloud workloads. *Help design and test workload migrations and disaster recovery scenarios. *Support integration of cloud services with on-premises technologies (VMware, Cisco, Dell, Nutanix, etc.). *Leverage State of Michigan Institutional knowledge to cloud engineering projects. *Skills* Cloud, Aws, GCP, Cloud Delivery, CI, CD, DevOps, API, security, compliance, Azure, Automation Core Competencies *Ability to learn and apply cloud engineering concepts quickly. *Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. *Ability to interpret technical requirements and assist in developing cloud-based solutions. *Interest in automation, DevOps, and continuous improvement. *Clear communication skills for explaining technical concepts to both technical and non technical audiences. *Collaborative mindset and willingness to work across teams. *Other desired skills: Containerization, Linux, Database skills, security and recovery, web services and applications programming interfaces (APIs) *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Dimondale, MI. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
