Position Details
  • Location: Randolph, VT
  • Starting Pay: $20.00 - $23.50 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Shift Details: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM (Core Hours)
    • Monday - Friday
    • OT as needed
  • Full Time / Direct Hire

Our Pattern Technicians are responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on the tooling used to mold our cast iron to produce Hearth & Home Technologies' industry-leading fireplaces, stoves and hearth products. This is an apprenticeship position where you will learn the skills necessary to become an expert in the field.
Pattern Technician Duties Include
  • Stage molding tools for next day's production schedule
  • Load tooling into molding cassettes and deliver to molding department utilizing a forklift
  • Unload molding tools from production and remove tooling from cassettes after production requirements are satisfied
  • Cut, install, sand and polish gating systems on new molding tools
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Learn how to perform basic pattern repairs (i.e., replacing in-gates, vents, runners, wipers & cups)
  • Learn how to identify and resolve molding scrap defects via gating enhancements
  • Work in a team-driven environment to move quality products safely and improve efficiency

  • Exposure to heat, heavy materials, and industrial equipment
  • Safety-focused setting requiring adherence to all safety policies & procedures
