The Director Sales Training, Immunology is a pivotal role that strategically translates franchise and brand strategies into a comprehensive training plan aimed at achieving organizational goals. They lead the development of product & disease learning resources for the commercial sales team to ensure the knowledge, readiness, and confidence of our commercial organization with established brands and new product launches. This role requires cross functional collaboration with internal stakeholders to align learning solutions to brand strategy and influences the design and execution of the learning plan to achieve business results.

Role Summary

  • Effectively establish, deepen, and sustain key relationships with Immunology business leaders and mid-level managers to understand their business needs and related performance gaps, provide oversight and analysis when defining requirements, and demonstrate an understanding of processes and methodology to provide appropriate learning solutions.
  • Support the strategic vision for the Immunology commercial training plan and establish departmental goals and objectives aligned with the strategy.
  • Engage and collaborate and influences business leaders, mid-level managers, and supervisors to understand business goals and performance needs and help support drive desired outcomes.
  • Hire, lead and coach direct reports in the development and delivery of all training programs as well as through their professional growth path.
  • Ensure organizational and department policies and procedures are consistently maintained.
  • Identify performance needs and learning gaps for the sales team to create learning solutions that will enhance learning and performance.
  • Monitor, analyze, interpret, and report internal trends; make recommendations for learning solutions for the division orfunction, as appropriate.
  • Remain current on learning and development related tools, techniques, strategies, and practices to provideguidance to the sales training team; share leading learning practices with teams and stakeholders.
  • Champion the integration of emerging technologies and innovative methodologies - including AI-powered learning, digital platforms, and data-driven insights - to continuously elevate learning effectiveness.
  • Partner with HR and Learning & Development to connect commercial training strategies with enterprise-wide talent initiatives - including leadership development programs, succession planning, and capability building across the sales organization.

Qualifications and Education

  • Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 5+ years of related experience, with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience and minimum 2 years of experience facilitating / delivering learning solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage concurrent cross-functional projects.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience in managing and mentoring diverse teams. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience presenting to diverse management levels.
  • Experience in adult learning principles, AI and innovative technology and E-Learning training.
  • PC literate including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to work withindividuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner, including the ability to build and maintain criticalnetworks and collaborative relationships.
  • Immunology/Dermatology market knowledge and experience preferred, including brand launch experience.
  • Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry preferred but not required. We value diverse experience and encourage candidates with diverse levels of experience to apply.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required, advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
