Medical Assistant - Gastroenterology Greenwich, CT Pay From: $22 per hour MUST: The Medical Assistant must have experience: Graduated from an Accredited MA Program (preferred) At least one full year of Medical Assistant experience Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and referring practices Have a broad knowledge of medical terminology (1+ year of healthcare experience) EMR experience is a must, Epic experience is a plus Have the ability to prioritize and multi-task and must be able to function in a fast paced, at times, stressful environment DUTIES: Providing Remarkable Patient Experience: you will be responsible for rooming patients, obtaining vital signs (blood pressure, height, and weight) and documenting accurately utilizing Epic EMR Attention to Detail: Updating patient's medical history including updated medication list Team Player: Appropriately documents all patient phone calls and under the direction and guidance of the provider, informs patients of test results Versatility: Familiarity with prior authorization process Expertise: Asking appropriate triage questions when speaking with patients and accurately recording in Epic Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
