Inside the Role

The DTFS Corporate Compliance Analyst is responsible for assisting with Daimler Truck's Compliance Management System, including anti-corruption, sanctions compliance, anti-money laundering, and integrity for all US entities. The role supports activities in the region to enact and implement (when necessary) corporate policies. Responsibilities include administering the sanctions screening tool within DTFS.

What You Drive at DTFS

Compliance Management System

  • Coordinate and support the implementation and maintenance of an effective Compliance Management System for all relevant areas in accordance with Group compliance requirements as well as local laws and regulations.
  • Support leadership and their departments in assuming and executing its responsibility to implement and maintain an effective compliance program at the unit level.
  • Perform and coordinate the Compliance Risk Assessment and Monitoring Process (CRM&M), including compliance measure allocation and documentation, in collaboration with the unit's risk owner.

Reporting and Evaluation

  • Provide feedback to parent company regarding compliance effectiveness at the unit level for the Annual Effectiveness Evaluation in accordance with CRM&M requirements.
  • Evaluate and address local compliance matters, and escalate higher risk matters to the respective Local Compliance Officer (LCO).

Standards and Processes

  • Implement and maintain clear compliance standards and applicable processes consistent with the compliance program and Code of Conduct.
  • Continuously assess and improve these standards and processes to ensure they remain effective and efficient.

Awareness and Training

  • Develop and deliver innovative, engaging communication strategies to raise awareness on compliance topics among internal stakeholders and external business partners.
  • Design and conduct risk-oriented, interactive training sessions for high-risk units, leveraging modern learning methodologies and technologies.

Collaboration and Governance

  • Foster and lead cross-functional collaboration on compliance matters with management and all employees.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving effective unit governance structures and procedures for compliance oversight.

Professional Development

  • Participate in the internal Compliance Qualification Program, in alignment with the respective LCO.
  • Pursue continuous learning opportunities to stay at the forefront of compliance best practices and emerging trends.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • BS/BA and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or at least 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years business experience and sufficient stature within the organization to exert influence and credibility.
  • Strong communications and facilitation skills, ability to conduct engaging trainings with intercultural understanding and knowledge.
  • Familiarity with corporate and local Daimler Truck business practices and sales processes.
  • Demonstrated behavior of nurturing a culture of acceptance and support of DEIB efforts.
  • An eagerness to share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Familiarity with corporate and local Daimler Truck business practices and sales processes
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with change management and compliance, applied business ethics, culture change and communication.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • Knowledge in applicable international and local laws (Anti-corruption, Anti-Money Laundering), sanctions lists and other applicable regulations and generally accepted CMS framework agreements.
  • Experience in (international) sales, business development or network development or similar complex models.
  • Experience in continuous improvement methods and program management.
  • Professional certifications in compliance, corporate audit or similar.
  • Experience in compliance/legal (related) function, counseling of internationally operating enterprises.
  • Appropriate knowledge and experience in Legal, Internal Audit, Accounting or similar.
  • Appropriate knowledge in applicable international and local laws (in particular distribution law, Anti-corruption, Anti-Money Laundering, Data Protection), Sanctions Lists and other applicable regulations and generally accepted CMS framework agreements.
  • Professional qualification on responsible leadership, compliance or corporate sustainability
  • Knowledge in applicable international and local Antitrust legislation
