Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Materials Manager, the Shipping and Receiving Team Lead has working knowledge of relevant shipping, receiving and material handling processes. Responsible for ensuring we are fulfilling our commitments of quality and on time delivery to our customers, both internal and external. This role is proficient at ERP transactions ("Visual" a plus) and understands material flow throughout the facility. Lead and oversee all shipping and receiving operations to ensure efficient material flow, accurate inventory management and timely delivery of products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily shipping and receiving activities, including inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods.
- Coordinate with production teams to prioritize shipments based on manufacturing schedules
- Schedules outbound freight and complete associated paperwork.
- Verify accuracy of shipments against purchase orders and packing lists - Inspect incoming materials for damage and coordinate returns when necessary.
- Oversee cycle counting programs and investigate any discrepancies.
- Utilize ERP system to track material movements and update inventory records.
- Maintain and generate metrics, receiving performance and inventory levels.
- Coordinate with purchasing team on material shortages and delivery issues.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures for all material handling processes.
- Maintains accurate records and files, photos of all shipments, documentation and administrative duties.
- Processes outbound small package shipments and returns: UPS, FedEx,etc.
- Ensures accurate documentation of all incoming and outgoing materials using WMS (Visual.)
- Maintains an organized warehouse layout for optimal efficiency and safety compliance.
- Assists in ordering shipping and packaging supplies, as well as lumber and materials.
- Updates data on applicable KPI (Key Performance Indicator) metrics.
- Able to train others on various tasks.
- Promotes a Safety-First culture, leading by example and actively participating in safety initiatives.
- Is proficient at ERP transactions and understands material flow throughout the facility.

- Understands chain of command and escalation procedures. Utilizes proper communication channels.
- Treats all team members with respect and is willing to facilitate resolution instead of enabling conflict.
Required Skills and Qualications:
- Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and shipping regulations.
- Familiarity with EDI transactions and transportation management systems.
Work Type: Onsite -This role follows an Onsite Work Schedule and requires working from your designated Regal Rexnord office on a full time basis.
