Our Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Senior Project Coordinator to oversee daily operational logistics, resource allocation and workflow management for multiple projects. You'll support the Program Manager and department heads to resolve roadblocks, execute project deliverables, and maintain high-quality communication across the organization. This role requires onsite work in Mineral Wells, TX, where you will independently manage smaller-scale initiatives. Responsibilities include monitoring budgets and timelines, ensuring clear and effective communication, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation. Moog Avionics delivers customer-focused technologies and customized solutions for Special Mission, Military & Defense, Military Trainer, Business, and General Aviation industries.

Day- to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Represents the Programs department in decisions for prioritizing, communicating and coordinating production activities to support projects and customers.
  • Provides input into project planning to verify part numbers, lead times and order verifications.
  • Communicate production lead time changes and new information to team; tracks project changes and adjust production schedules as needed.
  • Provides mentorship and training to Project Coordinators.
  • Identify and resolve project risks and issues, facilitate solutions and remove project roadblocks.
  • Manage project milestones and co-ordinate with multiple functions for successful project completion.
  • Work with engineering leadership to allocate project staff according to project requirements to create engineering program plan and schedule.
  • Work with Operations to assure system deliveries are formally entered into MRP tool, are well understood and prioritized to meet the project schedule.
  • Control expenditures within limitations of project budget. This includes managing change requests from customers, schedule slips, etc.
  • Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress.
  • Prepare project status reports for leadership by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Expected to identify potential production issues and provide solutions to the relevant management team.
  • Serves as liaison for external customers and coordinates project tasks with respective Project Manager.
  • Works with Operations to ensure that all Purchase Orders are properly entered into the system.
  • Works with Customer Support involving warranty claims, returns and repair.

Here's what you'll bring with you...

  • Associate's degree (A. A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requirements Analysis, Customer Interface, Project Management, Process Improvement, Technical Understanding, Documentation Skills.
  • Knowledge of cost and schedule performance analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills and technical writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project, MS Work, Excel and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills to drive to root cause and appropriate corrective action.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and interface at all levels of management and engineering.

It'd be great if you also had:

  • Experience with the system development lifecycle including system concept definition, requirements development, system design, and system validation/verification.
  • Microsoft Project critical path scheduling and Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.
  • Familiarity with Civilian Airworthiness processes.
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards like DO-254, DO-160, DO-178C, ARP-4754 and ARP-4761.

Salary Range Transparency:

Mineral Wells, TX $65,000.00-$80,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
