Job Description




As a Security Officer Entry Control in Freeport, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will help manage access control, verify badges and credentials, monitor entry points, and conduct routine patrols. In this role, you will remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential verification, and other security-related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, check identification and/or authorization for people, vehicles, and deliveries, and report unusual activity or access concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, restricted areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and communicate clearly with Allied Universal personnel and site contacts regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
