What You'll Do:

Team Management:

  • Supervise, train, and develop a team of three Credit & Rebill Specialists, ensuring daily processing of credit and rebill requests is handled accurately and efficiently.

  • Monitor team workload, establish performance goals, and conduct regular performance reviews.

  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for complex billing disputes or high-priority account corrections.

Process Improvement & Root Cause Analysis

  • Analyze credit and rebill data to identify trends, frequent discrepancies, and root causes of billing errors (e.g., incorrect tonnages, wrong material codes, misapplied freight rates).

  • Develop and implement proactive strategies, controls, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to systematically eliminate opportunities for invoicing errors before they occur.

  • Track and report on billing accuracy metrics and department KPIs to upper management.

Alignment with Point of Sale

  • Partner directly with scale house operators, dispatchers, and POS personnel across aggregate plant locations to ensure proper ticketing and loadout procedures are followed.

  • Audit scale tickets and POS data entry processes to ensure alignment with billing system requirements.

  • Assist in training POS and operations staff on the financial impact of ticketing errors and the proper procedures for capturing accurate job, phase, and pricing data at the point of sale.

Troubleshooting & Stakeholder Communication

  • Communicate directly and professionally with customers and internal sales representatives to troubleshoot invoicing errors, explain account corrections, and resolve pricing disputes while maintaining strong client relationships.

  • Act as the central liaison between Finance, Sales, and Plant Operations to ensure all parties are aligned on billing expectations and dispute resolutions.

Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need:

Education. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.

Experience. Experience in the aggregates industry is preferred. Relevant business administration experience is preferred.

Interpersonal Skills. Must be an excellent motivator and team builder. Must be able to form strong interpersonal relationships and effectively communicate with both internal and external audiences.

Pricing Knowledge. Must be familiar with pricing and marketing principles and be to support business planning efforts.

Technology Skills. Must display knowledge of and ability to use computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Gmail, etc.) and the most up-to-date sales systems (MobileSales, APEX Quote to Cash and Sales Analytics) to understand, measure and capitalize on sales opportunities.
