Description

The Opportunity - Field Services Practice Builder (Environmental, Cultural, GIS, Survey and Right of Way)

Ulteig is seeking a Field Services Practice Builder to grow our Field Services business by expanding client relationships, developing new opportunities, and increasing the visibility of our capabilities both internally and externally. This role is specifically focused on Environmental, Survey, Right of Way, Cultural, and GIS services, with priority placed on candidates who bring strong experience in environmental and/or survey services, ideally with familiarity across multiple field services disciplines.

This is not a general business development role. It requires a candidate who understands how field services work is sold, scoped, positioned, and partnered across infrastructure, utility, energy, and public-sector markets. The right person will be equally comfortable meeting with clients, shaping opportunities, partnering with technical teams, and building trusted internal relationships with market and operational leaders.

Because this is the first role of its kind for Field Services, the successful candidate must be comfortable building something new, influencing without authority, and serving as a visible and credible advocate for Field Services across the company.

This position reports to the Senior Director of Business Operations and Field Services.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute territory, sales, and account plans that drive revenue growth and client satisfaction across Environmental, Survey, GIS, and Right of Way services.
  • Engage with clients to understand current challenges and evolving needs, and position comprehensive field service solutions tailored to their objectives.
  • Identify, develop, and convert opportunities with new and existing clients for Ulteig's Field Services offerings.
  • Grows revenue by identifying and converting opportunities in environmental, survey, GIS, right of way, cultural, and related field services
  • Builds trusted relationships with both clients and internal leaders, especially those responsible for selling and delivering related services.
  • Increases the inclusion of Field Services in pursuits where those capabilities should be represented earlier and more effectively.
  • Helps position Field Services as a strategic growth platform, not just a downstream support function.
  • Partners effectively with LLSs and other internal leaders to ensure opportunities are not unintentionally missed.
  • Actively represent Ulteig in the industry, strengthening brand presence and building trusted, longterm relationships with clients and partners.
  • Collaborate internally with our LLSs, market teams, proposals, marketing and sales operations teams to advance complex pursuits and, when needed, provide projectlevel oversight.
  • Lead through influence, working crossfunctionally with LLSs, Marketing, Proposals, and Sales Operations to pursue, propose, and win work.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with client priorities, market trends, and Ulteig's longterm growth objectives.
