A globally recognized intimate apparel and lifestyle brand is looking for a skilled Technical Designer to join their team on a contract basis. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced, design-forward environment where fit, comfort, and quality are at the center of everything the team does.

About the Role

You'll be an individual contributor embedded within the Technical Design team, owning the fit and technical execution of swim and intimates product from development through final approval. You'll work closely with design to protect design intent while holding the line on fit standards, quality, and cost. Fittings happen in-office, so you need to be comfortable leading those sessions independently and communicating corrections clearly to vendors and factories.

This role reports into a Technical Services Manager and is ideal for someone who thrives as a subject matter expert, loves solving fit challenges, and doesn't need to manage a team to feel fulfilled in their work.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading and attending fittings 1-2 times per week onsite
  • Writing up fit comments and pattern corrections with precision
  • Developing and maintaining technical specifications across your product area
  • Communicating directly with vendors and factories on fit approvals and corrections
  • Collaborating with design to ensure design intent is met at every stage
  • Attending cross-functional meetings and following up on action items

What We're Looking For

  • 5-10 years of technical design experience, with the majority of your career focused in technical roles
  • Hands-on swim and/or intimates experience is strongly preferred - seamless experience is a plus
  • Comfortable owning fittings independently and writing detailed fit comments
  • Proficiency in Illustrator, Excel, Flex PLM, and Centric (or similar systems)
  • Plus size fitting experience is a bonus
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or equivalent experience

Who Thrives Here

You're approachable, solutions-oriented, and don't rattle easily under pressure. You're collaborative without needing hand-holding, and you're the kind of person who goes the extra mile without being asked. You're open to feedback, new ways of working, and you show up ready to contribute from day one.
