Visiting Cardiologist

The University of Iowa Department of Internal Medicine is seeking faculty for a general cardiology position within the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. This position will be in the rank of Visiting Instructor consistent with clinical experience and research interest. This position is not eligible for university sponsorship for employment authorization.

The candidate will perform clinical work at UIHC, IRL, Iowa City VA and/or outreach locations. The candidate will have effort in outpatient clinic and rounding on the inpatient teaching and consult services.

Education/certification requirements:

M.D. degree or equivalent

Completion of an ACGME accredited cardiology fellowship

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in general cardiology and evidence of scholarly work.

Board certified or board eligible in cardiovascular diseases.

Authorized to work in the U.S.

Desirable Qualifications:

Applicants with evidence of a strong commitment to research and teaching are preferred.
