Job Description




As a Law Enforcement Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy government transportation location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post. Guided by a caring culture, teamwork, agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity, you will play an important role in supporting daily operations and a welcoming environment.

Position Type: Full Time, Overnight

Pay Rate: $28.86 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Each LEO will possess the following minimum qualifications (NO EXCEPTIONS):

To be considered, all applicants must meet the following criteria:

    2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level)

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent (must provide credentials upon applying)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Law Enforcement Officer License
  • 22+ years of age

Basic Qualifications: The basic qualifications listed below are representative of the relevant knowledge, skills, and/or experience required in order to be hired. These are requirements that we have determined are the minimum a candidate must have in order to be successful in this role.

Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:

Applicant must complete one of the following approved programs:

  • 1. Certified State law enforcement recruit training.
  • 2. Certified County law enforcement recruit training.
  • 3. Federal law enforcement training.
  • 4. Programs approved by the Director.
  • 5. Each LEO will possess the following minimum qualifications:
    • No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C. * 922(g)(9)) or documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings (referring to the decisions in Giglio v. United States, 405 U.S. 105 (1972) and United States v. Henthorn, 931 F. 2d 29 (9th Cir. 1991)).

*A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Must be able to supervise Contractor's personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies and the public on matters relating to security disputes, complaints on the performance, conduct or behavior of subordinate employees.

Other related attributes that would enahnce hiring consideration: These are other criteria that may enhance the hiring decision but would not rule out the candidate for consideration if not present.

  • Shall have no record of moral turpitude, domestic violence, untruthfulness, or mental or emotional disorders which may interfere with performance of duties.

  • Valid Drivers License
  • 21+ years of age
  • Have ability to pass a backgrround check, drug screening and physical exam.
  • Abulity to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT rquirements)

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter zones to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, observe pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or security-related issues according to site protocols.
  • Complete required reports and documentation regarding incidents, patrol activity, and/or noteworthy observations in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
