Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, is seeking a Production Manager for our Green Tree, PA manufacturing facility. This role is a key member of the plant leadership team, responsible for leading production operations, developing frontline leaders, and driving continuous improvement and transformation.

This position requires a leader who can build team capability, challenge legacy processes, and deliver sustainable operational improvements.

What You Will Do:

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a goal-zero safety culture. Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety requirements
  • Lead safety culture transformation by embedding safety ownership at all levels
  • Partner with site safety leadership to drive continuous improvement in safety performance

Leadership & Team Development

  • Directly lead and develop Production Team Leaders; indirectly lead approximately 40 production associates
  • Build a high-performance leadership team focused on accountability, engagement, and results
  • Establish clear expectations, coaching routines, and performance management processes
  • Improve onboarding, training, and cross-training systems to strengthen workforce capability
  • Develop bench strength and succession capability to support future growth

Operations & Execution

  • Manage day-to-day production operations to meet safety, quality, service, and cost targets
  • Optimize staffing strategies, scheduling alignment, and workflow efficiency
  • Lead operations in a space-constrained environment by improving throughput without expanding footprint
  • Support and execute capacity expansion initiatives, including shift structure and workforce design
  • Act as plant leader in the absence of the Plant Manager

Continuous Improvement & Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)

  • Own and lead TPM deployment and sustainment across the production department
  • Drive loss elimination using root cause analysis, metrics, and structured problem solving
  • Implement and sustain systems such as 5S, Lean Flow, standard work, and visual management
  • Integrate TPM into daily management systems and leadership routines

Business & Performance Management

  • Own production KPIs across Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost
  • Develop and utilize metrics and reporting tools to drive performance improvements
  • Manage labor and operating costs to align with budget targets
  • Leverage ERP systems (SAP preferred) to support data-driven decision making

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Logistics to resolve production challenges
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve processes and support new product introduction
  • Influence site-wide improvements without direct ownership of all functions

Position Details:

  • Reports to: Plant Manager
  • Direct Reports: Production Team Leaders
  • Indirect Reports: Approximately 35-40 production associates
  • Position may require occasional extended hours to support production needs

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, or related field
  • 6 years of manufacturing experience
  • 4 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver operational results
  • Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience leading TPM, Lean, or manufacturing system transformations
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading change or transformation in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated success developing frontline leaders and building high-performance teams
  • Experience in electromechanical assembly, fabrication, or process manufacturing environments
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and Bills of Material
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The base salary range for this position is $107,600.00 - $161,500.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
