What to Expect
The Chassis Controls team is looking for a Functional Safety Engineer to design and develop world class safety-critical Chassis Controls features. The Chassis Controls team provides safety critical functions like braking and steering to drive a vehicle and complex vehicle functions like traction control, stability control, and anti-lock braking to ensure safe vehicle operation at the limit of physics. You will help design and build these software systems that meet rigorous safety and reliability requirements. You will be tasked to determine the necessary system designparadigms, controller networking,safetymechanisms,and monitoring concepts while working with a team of other functional safety engineers to develop the right frameworks, tools, and processes to realize these functions that exceed or even define the standards for the company and industry. This is a high visibility role with a large responsibility. You will work cross-functionally with electronics and hardware teams to accomplish goals and meet requirements you have determined for the system. You will also personally produce software and solutions across the full vertical stack to meet some of these requirements. $120,000 - $396,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
