Community Ophthalmology is dedicated to developing and implementing a model program that serves children throughout San Diego County. Under supervision of the Program Director, incumbent will complete vision screenings for over 15,000 children throughout San Diego County every school year. Preferable fluency in written/spoken Spanish and English, will coordinates scheduling for vision and hearing screenings for school sites, schedule sites for comprehensive eye exams and manage children referred for further care in the community. Performs medical data entry. Assists clinic employees on patient translations, and scheduling. Helps maintain relationships with schools, children and their parents. Responsible for various fiscal duties and reporting mandates. Is responsible for all reimbursements. Works closely with supervisor to identify, gather and complete grant proposals for the division that will create sustainability. Meets with patients recently diagnosed with eye disease to offer community resources. Other duties as assigned. Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced community educational and volunteer educational management program professional to resolve a wide range of educational program issues and needs assessments. Develops new community educational programs, and works on complex community educational programs or volunteer educational management programs of diverse scope. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for delivering courses, presentations and development programs. Receives general instructions and exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for course and instructional improvement. Fully knowledgeable in course subject matter and program. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $55,400 - $93,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $26.53 - $44.92 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). | |
