Nursing Care Assistant I/Health Unit Coordinator - Mother Baby - Duke Regional Hospital Duke Regional Hospital seeks to hire an experienced Nursing Assistant who will embrace our mission of Advancing Health Together. Shift:Nights (7pm - 7:30am) Department Profile: The Mother/Baby Unit at Duke Regional Hospital provides a personalized birth experience in a safe, comfortable environment. We deliver more than 2,500 babies each year and work closely with you to make sure you have the birth experience you choose. Duke Regional Hospital is recognized as one of the best hospitals for maternity care in the U.S. by U.S. News & World Report for 2021. The recognition is due to our low rates of C-section in people at low risk for pregnancy complications and other factors. Our unit is comprised of 33 beds and provides care for obstetrical (of child bearing age) and gynecological patients. Our team is active in delivering exemplary care for each patient to ensure an excellent patient experience, every time. What you will do: The Nursing Assistant (NA) providing direct patient care in collaboration with Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN). Performs delegated clinical tasks, supports care for acutely ill patients, and assists with unit coordination and operations. Delivers basic patient care while maintaining medical asepsis, patient dignity, privacy, and cultural sensitivity. Adheres to policies and responds appropriately in emergency situations. Maintains patient environment, manages supplies and equipment, and completes clerical duties including accurate documentation in electronic health records and use of patient care systems.
