The University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy has a history of embracing its entrepreneurial spirit and offering innovative pharmacy programs, centers and research that identifies new therapies and standards of care. The College of Pharmacy is seeking an Events and Communications Coordinator to support their strategic vision. The ideal candidate will facilitate all college events from conception though clean up. They will coordinate with internal project leads to plan, organize, schedule and execute events, related to location scouting and booking, speaker support for travel and lodging, invitations/registration, catering, entertainment, technology, equipment, staffing, and other relevant activities. Aspects of event planning overlap with the communications department in executing event listings and promotions.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and work well on a team.
- Additional duties include assisting the Communications Manager in fostering effective communication between the College of Pharmacy and its students, employees, alumni, and the public in order to advance the College's strategic vision.
- Facilitates in-bound and outbound digital communications, and the development, production, and dissemination of marketing and communications collateral to internal and external constituents.
- Develops, researches, writes, edits, and/or publishes written materials and strategic communications including, but not limited to, articles, social media posts, email newsletters, event listings, and news releases.

| Duties & Responsibilities |
- Support and work alongside the Manager of Communications on various communications both internal and external to the College of Pharmacy. Methods include emailed newsletters, announcements, website updates, advertisements, public agendas, etc.
- Coordinate and work with various college staff on a variety of college activities and events throughout the year, including Convocation, PharmD White Coat, Student Orientation, State of the College, graduate seminars, PharmCamp, among others. Tasks include preparing materials, coordinating with U of A and external vendors, making orders, setup and tear down.
- Provides general administrative functions and assistance, which may include communicating with internal and external stakeholders, preparing documents and reports, compiling records, scheduling meetings, organizing and maintaining information, coordinating calendars, composing correspondence and other documents, analyzing data.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled in coordinating communication materials and campaigns across multiple platforms.
- Ability to provide attention to detail in reviewing materials for consistency and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with moderate guidance.
- Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate effectively with campus partners and team members regarding project status and communication needs.
- Ability to support communication and branding initiatives across multiple channels.
- Knowledge of and proficiency in project tracking and workflow management tools.
- Skilled in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite programs/applications such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
