The Maintenance Planner prepares and continuously improves production-related preventive maintenance plans, analyzes breakdowns to align PM activities with failure areas and mechanisms, and supports maintenance service delivery through root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and data-driven problem solving with cross-functional teams. This role also owns the area unsafe-condition log, tracks and implements countermeasures, and is responsible for safety activities within the assigned area. The position ensures proper maintenance and technical performance of machines and equipment in the Machining and/or Assembly areas. It provides technical support to resolve machine and installation issues by diagnosing problems with Maintenance and Production Team Members and Business Unit Leaders, preparing technical proposals, coordinating required activities, and scheduling materials for delivery. The Maintenance Planner provides problem-solving support to maintenance teams to optimize machine and equipment performance; supports Manufacturing Engineering initiatives; participates in reliability analysis and resource planning; helps identify and implement new maintenance methods, including reengineering; initiates the supply process for indirect maintenance materials; and ensures maintenance work follows current standards for quality, safety, security, programming, and equipment controls. Responsibilities include analyzing breakdown causes and preventive actions, scheduling machine and equipment inspections, and managing the maintenance plan for specialist inspections, technical cleaning, breakdown interventions, preventive work, control and measurement devices, and elevating devices installed on production lines. The role also supports the evaluation of new machines and equipment; updates, archives, and maintains completed maintenance documentation; supports cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and maintenance cost consolidation; contributes to SIS programs and tools; and leads implementation of AM, PM, QC, FI, WO, and PD pillar standards in assembly using SIS methodology. Additional duties include scheduling and implementing production maintenance activities; reviewing and generating PM work orders daily and weekly; tracking work order status; completing daily PM tasks; ensuring PMs are performed, work orders are closed, time is posted, and corrective work orders are created and completed as required; monitoring maintenance planning system data integrity; developing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual scorecard reports for maintenance system performance and Production Team KPI boards; maintaining a safe work environment; managing and tracking the EWO system; driving production maintenance performance toward SIS goals and Policy Deployment objectives; taking corrective action when performance gaps are identified; providing learning resources to team leaders, team members, and subcontractors; and using the SIS process to reduce waste in maintenance activities.
