The Seligman Research Team, led by Dr. Hilary Seligman, is committed to creating communities where healthy food is affordable and easily accessible to everyone. The team's research focuses on policies and programs impacting the food environment and food affordability.

Since 2015, the team has operated Vouchers 4 Veggies, one of the nation's largest produce prescription programs, utilizing its well-established infrastructure and proven outcomes to conduct policy-relevant research and provide technical expertise to help advance and grow the field of food is medicine through both research and practice.

The team is based at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital under the Division of General Internal Medicine and is part of the Action Research Center for Health.

The Seligman Research Team is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to support the growing and complex administrative needs of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Principal Investigator's calendar and scheduling needs.
  • Maintain and support the Principal Investigator's curriculum vitae (CV) and biosketches.
  • Support expense report processing.
  • Assist with invoicing activities.
  • Coordinate purchasing requests for the broader team.
  • Provide administrative support to meet the evolving needs of the research team.

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience with internal UCSF systems, including MyExpense and BearBuy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple administrative responsibilities with attention to detail.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.


Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
