We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious Regional Installer to join our team. This role contributes to Wenger Corporation's strategy to provide an exceptional customer experience by supporting the installation, inspection, and maintenance of rigging systems used in theatrical productions, live events, and performance venues. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, enjoy hands on work, follows safety procedures, and works effectively as part of a team.
At a minimum, you'll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Comfortable working at heights and using aerial lifts, scaffolding, and ladders ranging from 40'-80'.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to travel extensively with overnight stays.
- Valid driver's license.
It would be great if you also have:
- 1-2 years of experience working in construction environments on rigging, carpentry or related trades.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of performing arts industry.
- Prior experience installing theatrical or entertainment rigging systems.
- Experience safely troubleshooting and maintaining all aspects of rigging.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety training or willingness to obtain.
- Welding, electrical, or control systems experience.
- Experience with construction equipment lifts and fork trucks.
- Computer skills and aptitude, especially Word and Excel.
A typical day may include:
Installation Support
- Assist with the installation of theatrical rigging systems and related equipment.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and material handling equipment under supervision.
- Support loading, unloading, staging, and organization of materials and equipment.
- Assist with measuring, layout, assembly, and installation activities according to project plans and company standards.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
Learning & Development
- Participate in structured training programs covering rigging systems, installation techniques, OSHA requirements, and company procedures.
- Learn to read and interpret construction drawings, installation plans, and project documentation.
- Develop proficiency in the use of installation tools, equipment, and safety systems.
- Work alongside experienced installers to gain hands-on knowledge of entertainment rigging systems.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Attend required safety meetings and job-site orientations.
- Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and job-site hazards promptly.
- Assist with daily safety inspections and housekeeping activities.
Documentation & Communication
- Complete daily timekeeping and required project documentation.
- Communicate progress, questions, and concerns to supervisors.
- Assist with photo documentation and project records as directed.
- Participate in team meetings and project briefings.
Team Support
- Work collaboratively with installers, project managers, and other trades.
- Support efficient project execution through reliability, organization, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate professionalism when interacting with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Travel & Flexibility
- Travel to project sites as required, including overnight stays.
- Adapt to varying project schedules, locations, and working environments.
