Overview

Supports the operational, compliance, and strategic functions of the VNS Health Government Affairs department. Administers key departmental processes, manages operational workflows, supports lobbying and regulatory compliance activities, and develops systems, reporting tools, and resources that support organizational objectives and Government Affairs priorities.
Exercises independent judgment in managing priorities, coordinates cross-functional initiatives, maintains compliance-related documentation, and improves operational effectiveness across Government Affairs programs and activities. Requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

  • Manages operational workflows supporting Government Affairs initiatives, ensuring timely execution of departmental priorities and regulatory obligations.
  • Coordinates and prioritizes activities across multiple Government Affairs projects, initiatives, and stakeholders.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains operational procedures, process documentation, departmental standards, and shared resources.
  • Serves as a liaison across internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate communication, issue resolution, and project coordination.
  • Evaluates administrative and operational processes and recommend workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manages departmental records, stakeholder databases, compliance documentation, and reporting systems in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Supports development and maintenance of Government Affairs Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Administers lobbying compliance tracking processes and support preparation and submission of required filings, reports, and disclosures.
  • Develops and maintains dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools related to Government Affairs activities, grants, and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitors departmental activities and reporting timelines to ensure compliance with internal standards and external requirements.
  • Analyzes operational data and reporting trends to identify gaps, process improvement opportunities, and operational efficiencies.
  • Prepares presentations, summaries, reports, and briefing materials for Government Affairs leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensures accuracy, completeness, confidentiality, and organization of departmental documentation and records.
  • Supports operational administration of Government Programs initiatives, including workflow coordination, stakeholder engagement, and resource management.
  • Coordinates logistics, agendas, follow-up actions, and documentation for Government Programs meetings and huddles.
  • Supports grant administration activities related to prospecting, tracking, contracting, compliance, and reporting.
  • Supports Government Affairs leadership with operational planning, prioritization, and department-wide initiatives.
  • Coordinates internal and external meetings, stakeholder communications, and project timelines.
  • Manages competing priorities and independently determine appropriate follow-up actions to support departmental objectives.
  • Exercises discretion and sound judgment in handling confidential, sensitive, and compliance-related information.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance departmental operations, communication, and reporting effectiveness.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree required

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations, program administration, government affairs, healthcare administration, compliance, or related administrative functions required
  • Experience supporting compliance, regulatory, government affairs, healthcare, nonprofit, or public sector functions preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and manage multiple priorities with limited supervision required
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project coordination skills required
  • Experience developing operational processes, reporting tools, workflows, or documentation preferred required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Microsoft Teams, Salesforce, and AI productivity tools including ChatGPT and related platforms required
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail required

Pay Range

USD $66,300.00 - USD $72,000.00 /Yr.
