Position Summary

EBI Consulting is seeking a high-performing Account Executive to expand our Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) practice nationwide. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth through existing industry relationships and strategic business development efforts focused on EHS compliance, occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, and air, waste, and water management services.

The ideal candidate brings a strong network of Environmental Health & Safety, Facilities, Sustainability, and Risk Management decision-makers, along with a proven track record of consultative sales within a professional services environment. This individual will work closely with EBI's technical experts to develop tailored solutions that help clients reduce risk, maintain regulatory compliance, improve workplace safety, and achieve operational excellence.

This position may be based anywhere in the United States, with preference given to candidates located in major metropolitan markets. Travel is expected.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to Environmental Health & Safety, Facilities, Sustainability, and Risk Management leaders across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, industrial, life sciences, healthcare, commercial real estate, higher education, and other regulated sectors.
  • Leverage an existing network and industry relationships to generate new business opportunities and expand EBI's EHS consulting services.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth within both existing clients and net-new accounts.
  • Identify client challenges related to regulatory compliance, workplace safety, environmental risk, industrial hygiene, and environmental management programs, and align EBI solutions to address those needs.
  • Manage complex sales cycles from prospecting and qualification through proposal development, contract negotiation, and close.
  • Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to develop customized solutions and compelling client presentations.
  • Attend industry conferences, association meetings, and networking events to strengthen market presence and generate qualified opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals, revenue targets, and key performance metrics.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive activity to identify emerging opportunities and inform sales strategy.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and client activity reporting within CRM systems.
  • Foster long-term client relationships that support repeat business, cross-selling opportunities, and strategic growth.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall success of the sales organization.



Qualifications and Capabilities



  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university with a focus in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of successful business development, account management, or consultative sales experience within Environmental Health & Safety, environmental consulting, industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, engineering consulting, or related professional services.
  • Demonstrated experience selling solutions and services to EHS, Facilities, Sustainability, Risk Management, or Compliance leaders.
  • Existing network of EHS and environmental compliance professionals with the ability to leverage relationships to drive new business opportunities.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Strong understanding of environmental compliance, occupational health and safety programs, industrial hygiene services, and regulatory requirements impacting corporate EHS organizations.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage executive-level decision-makers.
  • Ability to identify client challenges and develop consultative, value-driven solutions.
  • Experience managing long and complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM and lead management platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional technical and operational teams to ensure client satisfaction and long-term account growth.

The reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000. The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. This position may also be eligible for a bonus whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual performance. The actual compensation offered will be based on a range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to; geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements, knowledge, skills/level, qualifications and budget.
