We have an exciting opening for a Quality Engineer located in New Hope, MN. This role supports the Compact Power Business Unit within Parker's Hydraulic Actuator Division, with primary responsibility at the New Hope, MN site and collaboration with the Blaine, MN manufacturing site as needed. This position is responsible for advocating and supporting the Corporate WIN Strategy by managing quality activities within the assigned value stream. The Quality Engineer develops and maintains quality standards for products and processes, analyzes quality performance and root cause trends, and supports technical evaluation activities to help achieve business unit, site, and value stream quality objectives.

Your main responsibilities would include -

  • Support CPBU Quality Management System processes in alignment with ISO 9001:2015, including document control, internal audits, corrective action, supplier quality, nonconforming output control, calibration/measurement systems, and management review inputs.

  • Assess quality performance, including cost of quality, supplier performance, customer quality trends, and process capability, using statistical and analytical methods.

  • Lead or support systemic root cause analysis, failure analysis, and corrective action activities using objective evidence; verify corrective actions for effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain quality standards, inspection plans, process control documentation, quality procedures, and technical quality plans to support product, process, customer, and contract requirements.

  • Support quality planning for new or changed products and processes, including APQP, PPAP, inspection planning, measurement system analysis, capability analysis, and control plan development as applicable.

  • Monitor quality trends and coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve quality issues, improve supplier performance, and support customer-facing quality activities.

  • Support production release controls, including verification of inspection and test requirements, final test acceptance criteria, and traceability expectations.

  • Support internal and external audits, including audit preparation, participation, corrective action follow-up, and effectiveness verification.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and risk-based thinking to improve product quality, process performance, supplier quality, and QMS effectiveness.
  • Communicate quality requirements and train value stream teams on inspection methods, corrective action processes, production release controls, calibration requirements, nonconforming product and material control, and related QMS procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across New Hope and Blaine to support shared CPBU quality objectives, production continuity, supplier quality performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through training, industry engagement, best-practice benchmarking, ASQ certification activities, and participation in relevant professional associations.

Who we are looking for talent with -

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.

  • Experience maintaining and improving ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems is desired, including application of risk-based thinking.

  • Thorough knowledge of quality engineering, quality assurance, inspection methods, measurement systems, manufacturing processes, and general business operations.

  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, define problems, establish facts, perform systemic root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and verify effectiveness using objective evidence.

  • Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, control plans, corrective action, supplier quality, internal audits, calibration systems, and nonconforming product control.

  • Ability to assess and apply continuous improvement methods, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.

  • Ability to use standard business applications and specialized data analysis tools; experience with ERP/MRP, quality management, customer quality, or supplier quality systems preferred.
  • Ability to manage projects, establish goals and objectives, and communicate effectively with team members, team leaders, customers, suppliers, and leadership.
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification desired.; CQE, CQA, Six Sigma, or related quality certification preferred.

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $63,700 to $106,200 annually

  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
