Product Development Coordinator
About the Role
We're looking for a Product Development Coordinator to support the execution of the product lifecycle and act as a key partner to Design, Production, and Sourcing teams. This role plays a critical part in bringing products from concept through development and into production. What You'll Do
- Support the end-to-end product development process, from concept through sampling and pre-production
- Track and manage sample development, ensuring prototypes and key samples are delivered on time
- Build and maintain Time & Action (T&A) calendars to keep programs on schedule
- Partner with vendors and mills to monitor progress and resolve issues related to timelines or quality
- Enter, track, and validate product costing data, identifying and escalating discrepancies
- Maintain accurate product information across systems and tools
- Collaborate closely with Design, Pre-Production, and Production teams to ensure seamless execution
- Proactively communicate risks and help drive solutions to keep development on track
What We're Looking For
- 1-3+ years of experience in product development, production, sourcing, or merchandising operations (apparel or related industry preferred)
- Experience supporting sample tracking, prototype management, or product lifecycle processes
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple styles, deadlines, and priorities
- Comfortable working with vendors and cross-functional partners
- Experience with cost tracking, BOMs, or product data management
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or similar tools for tracking and reporting
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and process execution
Nice to Have
- Experience in apparel, footwear, or retail product development
- Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., FlexPLM, Centric, or similar tools)
- Understanding of materials, trims, and garment construction basics
- Exposure to global sourcing or offshore vendor management
