Foundations Behavioral Health in Doylestown, PA is hiring for a per diem Registered Dietitian to support our Food Services Department. The Registered Dietitian is responsible for assessing and supervising the nutritional need of the patients, providing age-and developmentally-appropriate diet planning, education and assuring quality nutritional care is provided to all patients in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Foundations Behavioral Health and the American Dietetics Association. Foundations Behavioral Health provides innovative behavioral health treatment and academic excellence to children, adolescents and young adults. Established in 1964, Foundations Behavioral Health provides treatment in a homelike environment located on a 12 acre campus in Bucks County, PA. Experience: Prefer one year of clinical dietitian in a health care environment. Prior work with a mental health population strongly desired. Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of age appropriate nutritional assessments and screenings, nutritional counseling and education, dietary planning and food and drug interactions. Environmental Conditions: Works in food production/kitchen setting and patient areas subject to extreme changes in temperature and exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior. Potential for exposure to communicable diseases, blood/body fluids and other hazardous waste. Exposure to equipment and cleaning products and fluids. Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment. Push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds. Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping. Drug and alcohol free as evidenced by negative results of post-offer, pre-employment urine drug screen. In response to the current pandemic, Respiratory Fit testing is a requirement of the job. Employees with facial hair may be required to make adjustments in order to successfully pass fit testing.
