Travel Therapist Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health
• Provide basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and provide referrals as needed.
• Provide high quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment of patients' functional needs and outcomes; consulting with and participating as part of the patients' treatment team.
• Assess patient needs regularly and assist in the developing and updating of the Master Treatment Plan.
• Work within a team environment to ensure that each treatment modality is appropriate for the patient.
• Complete and maintain all required documentation in a timely manner consistent with policies and regulations.

Travel Therapist Job Requirements:

• Education: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, or clinical related field
• Licensure/Certifications: Must be licensed in the state of Iowa - will accept Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW); may consider temp licensed. Must have current CPR and Mandatory Reporter for Adult/Child.
• Experience: one or more years' experience in a mental health setting preferred and good documentation skills needed
