Ignite Digital has an exciting opportunity for a Security Vetting Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our client engagement within the federal government for the Charleston, SC or Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience and expertise in the DoW and Navy Security Vetting process. This position serves an important role in supporting the Navy's ability to recruit, onboard, and retain top talent by accelerating the security vetting process.

Responsibilities:



  • Evaluate, develop, and implement solutions within current business processes to optimize efficiencies in security vetting and ability to gain base access for authorized personnel
  • Evaluate current workflows for potential bottlenecks and make recommendations for automation of manpower tasks as it relates to security requirements during the onboarding process
  • Streamline process for submitting security clearance packages for clearance/access determination for faster eligibility determination
  • Foster collaborative business relationships with stakeholders, business partners, and team members
  • Collaborate with Navy Base Security stakeholders to accelerate ability to gain base access for new employees
  • Develop reporting capability to identify security vetting status for onboarding personnel, to include any pending actions
  • Reform processes and procedures for submission of security clearance and base access packages


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Experience as Facility Security Officer (FSO) for secure workspaces
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience developing and implementing changes to policy and procedures
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders, from managers to technical resources, to include the translation of business requirements into operational measures and reports
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently, and quickly transition to reassess priorities



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Active DoW Top Secret security clearance
  • Experience with DoW/NAVWAR security clearance practices, data systems, and processes
  • Experience with onboarding (e.g. requesting CAC, Security Clearance submission, Base Access Request, etc) personnel to support government contracts
  • Adapts quickly to new situations, is willing to learn new technologies and works well in a team environment, leading individual projects without the need for supervision



Salary: $120k+ to align with experience and education

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
