The Fords site is a 24/7 batch chemical manufacturing site with multiple operations, including continuous and batch processes and utilities. The Maintenance Manager is expected to serve as a change agent in order to * Deliever the safe and efficient execution of maintenance work * Achieve a high level of reliability at the optimal cost. * Implement professional maintenance strategies, systems, and processes The Head of Maintenance & Reliability must have proven leadership and management skills to lead a team of engineers, craftsmen, and contractors. This position is a member of the Site Leadership Team and is expected to work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that maintenance and reliability activities align with operational objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Work Management Process Serve as the primary owner of the maintenance work management process. Ensure that work is identified, planned, scheduled, executed, and closed out in accordance with LXS procedures and industry best practices, while achieving a high level of reliability at the optimal cost.
- Predictive/Preventative Maintenance Utilize a data driven approach and RCM methodoligies to ensure that the site Predicitive & Preventative Maintenance Program is technically based and delivering optimum value.
- Continuous Improvement Ensure continuous improvement processes are utilized closing the loop on the maintenance management system, enhancing efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Encourage employee participation in problem solving and process improvements.
- Leadership and Management Provide leadership and direction to (4) direct reports and (11) indirect reports. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within team. Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
- Compliance and Reporting Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies. Participate in audits and inspections related to maintenance activities and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Turnaround Management Ensure the adequate preparation, including scoping, job package development, scheduling, and execution of annual shutdown events in accordance with LXS policies and procedures.
Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical engineering or related engineering discipline is required, Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Ten or more years of progressive maintenance & reliability experience. CMRP strongly preferred.
- Prior leadership and direct supervisory experience, with the ability to influence and direct employees, teams, and departments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, communicate feedback clearly, and to lead, mentor, and train a team.
- Demonstrated experience building a culture of safety and reducting incidents and accidents.
- Previous experience working in Process Safety Management (PSM) regulated facilities
- Thorough understanding of Industry Codes and RAGAGEP Requirements (API, ASME, ANSI, PIP, etc).
- Experience utilizing a CMMS to execute the work management process. Expereince with SAP is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical drawings, schematics, equipment drawings, and safety procedures including state and federal guidelines.

- Compensation We offer competitive compensation packages, inclusive of a global bonus program. The established pay range for this level grade position is $138,700 to $231,100. Please note, the actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
