Job Description

The Position

Reporting to the Sales Director, the NA Sales Manager will have responsibility for top line sales growth in North America, South America, Central America and Canada. They will execute sales and marketing strategies across various industries to grow Sales for PTG. The NA Sales Manager will be responsible for retaining existing business while obtaining new business and growing sales.

The Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the PTG team, develop marketing plans, sales strategies and action plans to deliver sales growth for PTG.
  • Build on new and existing customer relationships with key decision makers through planned and regular communications and frequent visits which result in increased business and profitability by customer.
  • Collaborate with key customer accounts to implement programs to better serve the customer and secure business for PTG.
  • Develop detailed knowledge of the marketplace including customer and competitor analysis within the listed territories, leading to the identification of sales opportunities and areas of proposed expansion.
  • Manage and develop the internal Sales Team and sales agents within the listed territories.
  • Set sales targets and measure performance to plan for the listed territories. Develop recovery plans and actions as needed to achieve quarterly and annual Sales targets for PTG.
  • Develop a sales growth action plan for the territories and drive delivery of such plans to grow the sales for the group.
  • Formulate and automate weekly and monthly sales reports (activities and trends) to PTG management.
  • Interface closely with all functional areas within the PTG group globally to understand the business and key growth drivers i.e. engineering, production, finance and customer service.
  • Manage all required sales contracts, customer programs, etc. for the territory with support from the PCC legal team where required.
  • Ensure all PCC compliance requirements are met.

The Person

  • The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record of success in substantially growing sales through execution of a disciplined strategy, growing existing relationships and penetrating new accounts.
  • The ideal candidate must have demonstrated experience in setting overall sales strategies for growth.
  • A willingness to travel is essential in this role - up to 60% of the time.
  • The successful candidate will have strong business and financial analysis skills to evaluate and assess business opportunities and profitability. A good understanding of cost and the ability to calculate and quote required profit margins.

Education & Qualifications

  • The successful candidate will ideally hold a degree in business, Engineering or a Technical discipline.

Experience

  • The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of successful experience in a business-to-business selling environment. Knowledge of Fastener, Aerospace, Tooling or Automotive industries is preferred. Experience working within a multi-national environment and across time zones is an advantage.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $111,500 to $200,800 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
