UVA Health is hiring a Communications Specialist to support the communications functions for the Executive Vice President of Health Affairs/Chief Executive Officer of UVA Health. The position is guided by a Senior Communications Strategist and reports into the UVA Health Office of Strategic Marketing & Communication. This position helps produce high-quality communications that inform, engage, and build trust within internal and external audiences. This role provides day-to-day coordination and execution for executive communications initiatives, helping ensure projects move efficiently from concept through final delivery. Responsibilities include preparing drafts and background materials, proofreading and formatting, tracking performance metrics, maintaining editorial calendars and communications platforms, and supporting events and engagements. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organization skills, sound judgment and discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Physical Demands This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. The pay range for this role is $60,236.80 - $72,016.00 annually.
